A climb to the top of a mountain called Goatfell on the Isle of Arran one summer afternoon. This raven was soaring above the mountain like an eagle.
These juniper trees cling to the edge of existence on the higher slopes of the Morrocan mountains. Each of these trees has a real individual character.
Ancient standing stones on the Isle of Arran which date back to 2000 BC
The lighthouse is along the Cornish coast near St Ives. Shot during a winter storm.
The hottest part of the day in the sweltering heat. This is my take on Metropol Parasol, a wooden building in the centre of the city.
A foggy morning by the river in Henley seems to give these pollarded trees a life of their own.
The tow path along the river here at home.
A landscape known as Southern Scales near Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. These patterns are formed from the erosion of the limestone rocks. The image was captured on an extremely bitter morning and the ice makes walking here lethal.
This was taken on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides
A tree with a spooky feel to it in Crowsley Woods. Nothing stays the same in woodland. Much of the area has been felled since this image was taken.
GBR rowers during an early morning training session. Unsurprisingly the crew loved this one.
Captured on a trip to the 4000-meter peak known as M’Goun, which you can see in the distance. We climbed this the following day in freezing temperatures, battling 50-mile-an-hour winds and altitude sickness. What an adventure after 4 days of trekking on foot to this point at the base of the mountain and then a 10-hour struggle up it.
I walked along the South West Coastal Path in Cornwall for a few days and camped overnight in this small cove with amazingly varied rock formations to explore.
This was shot from my paddleboard along a backwater on the River Thames near Wargrave. If you are wondering about the tones here, it has been shot using a camera that I had converted to the infrared spectrum.
A hawthorn tree in winter with a cloud inversion below us on the Black Mountains in Wales. This is a favourite location for me.
Temple Island is a major landmark for us in Henley on Thames. Most rowers will know this building, as this is the starting point for the Henley Regatta boat races in June.
The Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Sky in Scotland one stormy evening. I walked a few days towards the village of Elgol and stayed overnight at the bothy near to where this was taken.
