This image was shot early in the morning during a raging storm in February. This is an old fishing harbour town, which still brings in the catches during these winter months. The tiny cobbled streets are an amazing array of surfing shops, pastie stalls and artist galleries.
4 am before the sun rises for a stinking hot day in St Ives. What a place
Early morning on the ledges at Kimmeridge bay.
This lighthouse off the North Cornish Coast can be seen for miles around. On this occasion, it is being battered by a winter storm, making it an excellent monochrome subject.
Taken on a walk along the coast at Lllangrannog on the West coast of Wales.
A cold January morning looking from the town of Keswick across a frozen Derwentwater. We then climbed the fell in the distance. What an amazing time we had that day.
A waterfall in the Yorkshire Dales near Bloton Abbey. This is within the rather ominously named Valley of Desolation. I believe it got its name from a flash flood in the last century.
5 am and the sun is rising above Godrevy Island with its light house visible as a silhouette. The cloud looks like it is a hand holding the sun to shine down on the Island.
An early climb up this hill on a frosty winter morning produced a spectacular sight across the Cotswolds
White Scars in the Yorkshire Dales. A winter hike across this rock is lethal in this weather. Very cold hands needed to grab this shot.
A wild camp in Snowdonia in the autumn. The stars are just starting to appear. Very cold.
Lake District in the early morning just as the sun is rising above Derwent Water. This was taken as the low cloud drifts over Keswick and the Lakes.
Dancing Ledge is on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. This was shot just as some terrible weather blew through. Whilst hiding from the rain, I grabbed this shot as the setting sun found a few seconds to light up the sky, and then was gone again leaving the wind and rain again.
Long exposure looking across towards St Ives Head. 4 am in the summer
A lone tree on the limestone rock scars, with the mountain Ingleborough in the background, shrouded in cloud as the sun sets. Yorkshire Dales at its best.
A intimate landscape shot of one of the rivers near Tryfan in Wales.
Even the sheep thought this was a cool sunset in the Welsh mountains.
Walk along the ranges area near Tyneham in Dorset. Long exposure with a telephoto lens.
The mountain to the left is Tryfan, which is an iconic peak for those who like a bit of a climb. I stayed up there for sunset.
Simon’s Seat in the Yorkshire Dales during sunrise in the spring. Crisp and frosty.
